Vampire Chronicles - so far: Interview with the Vampire The Vampire Lestat The Queen of the da mned Memnoch the devil The Vampire Armand and just now - Blood and Gold next two books: Servant of the Bones and Violin. My absolut favorit is "Blood and gold", then "Interview" and then "Vampire Lestat". I absolutly hated "The queen of the da mned" and "Memnoch". The frist one was boring, the second far too religious for me. And they were all about Lestat and I really don't like him. "Blood and Gold" is my favorit, as it describes ages of history and gives depth to Marius. No wonder, he is also my favorit character. But his lifestory is interessting and ancient Italy must have been a beautiful place.

I read: The Vampire Lestat The Vampire Armand Interview With The Vampire Merrick The Queen of the Damned Blood and Gold Tale of the Body Thief Pandora Memnoch, the Devil . I think that's all. Perhaps I forgot one. I didn't read any Vampire Story by her which isn't in the Chronicles, and no other book, too. (I started with one of the Witches-books, but I don't like Witches. Boooring.) I know about Blackwood farm and Blood canticle, but i refuse to read them. I like very much: The Vampire Lestat, The Vampire Armand, Blood and Gold, The Tale of the Body Thief. I dislike: Memnoch, Merrick and Interview with the Vampire. a) because of the strong religious touch, b) because of the witches, and david (boring!), etc. (Chanel N°22 STINKS), c) because of too much whining.

I read so far:
-Interview with the Vampire (I have to admit it I found it rather boring after knowing the movie first) -The Vampire Lestat (Loved it) -The Queen of the damned (Mixed feelings Akasha was too weird sometimes) -Tale of the bodythief (I felt sorry for poor Lestat but after all he loved beeing a vampire again) -Memnoch the devil (Started it...put it away started it again..and again tempted to put it away) -Pandora (Never understood why it isn't a part of the VC I think she's quite a pain in the ass sometimes and never understood why Marius loved her so much..now he loves ME haha) -The Vampire Armand (Well my story...what can I say I'm great) -Blood and gold (The story of my beloved *sigh* Of course i loved it...except that he ran after Pandora all the time) -Merrick (Just bought it and after I finished Memnoch my next "project")
Then all I have to read is Blackwood Farm and Blood Canticle... *nods*

I read Interview with a Vampire and Queen of Damned. But it is far far away in the gone centuries.
I were a teenager and the library had only these two books.
Today the whole chronicle (in english) is in my bookcase and I have to find the time to read them all. After this i can say, which book I like the most.
But my feelings tell me, that I liked QoD more than IwaV. I think, because I got to know, how it started with the Vampires and which the oldest once are.
umm yeah, I have to see, what I think about "the story in the original language". The translator, you never know, how good the translator made his job.

Only thing I can say is, that the english version is brilliant! I mean I don't know the german ones, but the english books are really great. And also quite easy to read for non native speakers. And!! the paperback versions have beautiful covers. *nodd*

I'm a hardcover freak so I have the books as hardcover. But it is a special edition, cause the pages of the books look like old pages. The verges (? Ränder?) are tattered and the covers are great too.
"And also quite easy to read for non native speakers. " oh thats great. I have to use my english on work, but thats another english ...
